New Delhi: Immediately after being sworn in as the Union Railway Minister, Dinesh Trivedi went to meet the victims of the Howrah-Kalka Mail accident which took place on Sunday.
While at the Fatehpur District Hospital Trivedi was heckled by the family members of those injured. The mob also chanted slogans against the police and the railway officials alleging that they did not inform family members before removing bodies from the accident site.
Sensing their mood, Trivedi regretted about the tragedy and the subsequent difficulties they faced.
He stayed in the hospital for about 15 minutes amid chaotic scenes in which he was not only surrounded by the families, but also pushed and pulled by some of them.
