HYDERABAD: Both chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana intend to follow in the footsteps of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy by having district-wise party review meetings to strengthen the party from the grass-root level and to patch up differences, if any, among the district leaders and cadre. Both have decided to undertake district tours in another ten days.Rajasekhara Reddy, as chief minister, had convened district-wise party review meetings at his camp office and invited district ministers, in-charge minister, party MPs, MLAs, MLCs, DCC and CCC presidents and senior leaders to review the party’s developmental and welfare activities in each district.Botcha met Kiran at the CM’s camp office here on Friday morning and discussed the plan on district-wise party review meetings. Besides having district tours, the PCC chief suggested to the chief minister to have district-wise review meetings at the camp office to sort out problems, if any, in the party. The PCC president will attend these meetings to be convened by the chief minister.It is learnt that Kiran and Botcha have decided to finalise their tour programme only after receiving district reports from the District Congress Committee presidents.At a meeting held recently at Gandhi Bhavan, the two leaders directed the DCC and CCC (City Congress Committee) chiefs to submit reports with all details and list of Congress leaders and workers sailing with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.Silpa Deserts Jagan?: Former minister and Nandyal MLA C Silpa Mohan Reddy visited the CM’s camp office while Botcha was holding a meeting with Kiran. Mohan Reddy, believed to be loyal to Jagan, was dropped from the ministry when Kiran became the chief minister. Silpa’s presence at the camp office gave rise to speculation over his re-induction into the cabinet.
