Kozhikode: A renowned textile shop among 10 others was gutted in a blaze which is believed to been caused by a cylinder explosion in Kerala’s Kozhikode on Wednesday, reported Mathrubhumi.com
The fire started at Modern Textiles shop at SM Street (Mithayi Theru) and spread to other shops in the vicinity causing damage.

Seven Fire engines were rushed to the spot to contain the inferno. All shops in the area downed their shutters after the incident.
According to reports, the fire was caused after an explosion in a generator’s gas cylinder kept inside the shop.
However, there was no official confirmation over the cause of the fire.
