New Delhi: Hrithik Roshan's latest superhero film 'Krrish 3' has opened with a bang. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film collected around Rs 25 crore on its opening day despite it being a non-holiday Friday. No other film had garnered so much money on a non-holiday opening day. The previous record was held by 'Dabangg 2'. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the film's business, "Despite pre-Diwali and non-holiday, #Krrish3 takes a fantabulous start. India biz [Hindi + Tamil + Telugu]: Fri ₹ 25 cr. Mindblowing!"
The film is the third film in the franchise which started with 'Koi Mil Gaya' in 2003.
'Krrish 3' also features Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles.
'Ra.One' which was released on Diwali in 2011 had collected Rs 18 crores on the first day. 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' was released on Diwali in 2012 and it had garnered Rs 15.23 crore on its opening day.
