GUNTUR: Seemandhra leaders of the TDP who met here on Wednesday, passed a resolution demanding the Centre to keep the state united.TDP leaders of 13 Seemandhra districts met  at Siddhartha Gardens  here and passed a resolution  to this effect. The resolution was introduced by party Politburo member Yenamala Ramakrishnudu. Two  MPs, 28 MLAs and six MLCs supported the resolution.The TDP leaders also vowed to sacrifice their lives and posts for a unified state.The convener of the meeting and Chilakaluripet MLA Pratipati Pulla Rao  said Seemandhra would become a desert with the division of the state and predicted water wars if the state was divided.Party senior leader P Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that if the irrigation projects were commissioned under Jalayagnam as per schedule, the separate Telangana agitation would have not come up.  He expressed concern over several companies preferring to invest in the neighbouring states.Machilipatnam MP K Narayana said the Central government should settle  the issue by itself as it  was solely responsible for  the present chaos in the state.Former minister Kodela Sivaprasada Rao warned that they would not keep quiet if the state was divided.Party senior leader K Yerran Naidu said  Seemandhra leaders were ready for any sacrifice if resignations will solve the issue. He blamed Sonia Gandhi for the present crisis in the sate.  He demanded  that the Centre should go by the sixth proposal of the Srikrishna committee and announce its decision in next Parliament session.Narasaraopet MP Modugula Venugopal said that Berhampur in Orissa, Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh and Hosur in Karnataka have also been demanding for merger with the state.Another MLA Payyavula Kesav said that the present situation was nothing but a conspiracy of the Congress party to divide the TDP. He said TRS is instigating regional feelings among the people in the state.
