TIRUMALA: Words fail to describe the splendour of Lord Malayappa Swamy, who rode the sevenhooded serpent Pedda Sesha Vahanam on the first day of the nineday Srivari Brahmotsavams on Thursday night.
Accompanied by His Consorts, the lord in the form of Vaikunta Narayana, sat majestically on the Pedda Sesha Vahanam. When the Vahanam was brought out of the Vahana Mandapam, the entire Tirumala reverberated with chants of Govinda Namams.Scores of devotees, who thronged both sides of the four mada streets, offered prayers to the lord of seven hills with folded hands held above their heads.
