Mahesh Babus wife grilled on Emaar Villa

HYDERABAD: CBI officials on Wednesday recorded the statement of Namrata Shirodkar, wife of actor Mahesh Babu, in connection with the probe into Emaar case.Sources said that a CBI team visited Mahesh’s house in Jubilee Hills and recorded Namrata’s statement.Namrata was among the 90 VVIPs who owns villas in Emaar Boulder Hills township. It is alleged that all villa owners purchased properties at hefty concessions, reportedly at `5,000 per sq yard, much lower than prevailing market price. The CBI team has been quizzing villa owners about the source of money through which villas were purchased.“Most people whom CBI has grilled have claimed that the property has been purchased through legally monies. Each one gave contradictory versions of the purchasing price of the property,” sources said. The CBI had served notices on 90 villa owners and had questioned them since September 12.
