BANGALORE: Enraged over wife’s illicit relationship, a man attacked his 35-year-old wife, and hacked her paramour to death before absconding. The incident was reported in Gubbalala in Thalaghattapura police station limits on the outskirts of the city on Saturday.The deceased, identified as Narasimhaiah, 50, was a realtor and a resident of Kembathalli. The accused Satish, a mason, hacked the realtor to death and injured his wife Varalakshmi (35).According to the police, Varalakshmi was a domestic maid at Narasimhaiah’s house, where they entered into an illicit relationship. After Narasimhaiah’s family learnt of their affair, they sacked her. However, the two continued the relationship. The realtor allegedly helped her to get a house for rent at Gubbalala by paying the advance money. Satish was aware about his wife’s affair and he reportedly warned her to end the relationship.“On Saturday afternoon, Satish came home and found his wife with Narasimhaiah. Following a heated argument, Satish allegedly hacked Narasimhaiah to death with a machete and also attacked his wife. Since, she fell unconscious, he fled the scene,” the police added.The incident came to light when the house owner’s wife came to Satish’s house. As the door was locked, she peeped through the window to find Varalakshmi and Narasimhaiah in a pool of blood. Her son alerted the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted Varalakshmi to a hospital, where she was recovering. In her statement to the police, Varalakshmi informed the police that her husband was the murderer. Thalagattapura police registered a murder against Satish and are in search of the accused.
