London:British Prime Minister Tony Blair believes the manner of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's execution was completely wrong and he would make a statement on the issue next week, his office said on Sunday.
"He would make his comments on the issue next week," a spokeswoman of Blair said.
Chancellor Gordon Brown, who is expected to succeed Blair as Prime Minister later this year, on Sunday told the BBC1 in an interview that the taunting of Saddam during his execution and the release of illicitly recorded video was 'deplorable' and 'completely unacceptable'.
Meanwhile, Blair has backed the Iraqi Government's announcement of an inquiry into the circumstances of the execution of Saddam Hussein.
"The PM has welcomed the Iraqi Government's investigation into the leak of video footage, apparently filmed on a mobile phone and seen by millions worldwide on the web and on TV," the PM's spokesman said.
