ROURKELA: Jharkhand-based Left-wing extremists (LWEs) on Thursday blew up a bus, suspecting it to be carrying Combat Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) personnel, setting off a powerful landmine. However, no casualty was reported. The incident occurred on the hilltop road under Kiruburu Police limits of West Singhbhum district in adjacent Jharkhand, about 120 km from here. Jharkhand’s Chaibasa-based SP Arun Kumar Singh said it was a major explosion which occurred midway. He said the bus was on its way to the hilltop to bring back CoBRA unit personnel and the driver was only present.
