Mathura advocates go on strike, demand morning court during summer season

Demanding change of court timings in the summer season, lawyers in the district today went on indefinite strike.

The lawyers alleged that the Allahabad High Court has not changed the court timings in the district this year despite their request for introduction of morning courts, Secretary Mathura Bar Association Pradeep Sharma said here on Wednesday.

Last year, morning courts were in operation from May 1 to June 30 from 6.30 AM to 12.30 PM, however this year the system has not been introduced so far.

Justifying their demand for morning courts, Sharma said, "We have taken this decision in the interests of litigants who have to face massive heat in the summer season."
