Hyderabad: A day after Andhra Chief minister YSR Reddy's funeral, his hometown Pulivendula is a picture of gloom. Millions of his supporters are still mourning the loss and a prayer meet has been organised in Pulivendula, attended by members of his family and hundreds of mourners.
The late chief minister's family were numb with grief. Reddy was buried at his family estate beside his parents.
According to his family, the 100-acre lush estate was the place he loved most.
The body was flown in an army helicopter from Hyderabad after thousands paid their last respects at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad, among them leaders from across party lines.
After remaining shut for two days, schools, colleges, offices, shops and business establishments re-opened on Saturday while public transport returned to the roads.
