THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Labour Minister Shibu Baby John here the other day promised the nursing fraternity that Minimum Wages Act would be implemented with retrospective effect for the nurses working in the hospitals in the state. The Minister made the promise when the representatives of Indian Registered Nurses Association (IRNA) met him. The nurses were led by the Association’s patron Hibi Eden MLA. The delegation also submitted a memorandum listing out various problems being faced by the nurses. The delegation included IRNA state coordinator R Arun Raj, president Santhosh M P, secretary Jeesan M Y and joint secretary Hanna Vijayan.
