As Arvind Kejriwal secures Trust Vote in Delhi Legislative Assembly, the government moves ahead with its agenda of empowering 'aam aadmi'. The Minister of Transport for Delhi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, has approved the distribution of 15000 autos, free of cost, to members of the SC/ST and said that, 15000 Dalits will be self-employed with this scheme thereby alleviating the problems they face in meeting their familiy's basic day-to-day necessities.
Apart from this, Bharadwaj has also indicated that his ministry will tackle the various problems of auto drivers and take strict action against the auto mafia. He said that Delhi auto drivers have played an important role in the AAP win in Delhi. They campaigned shoulder to shoulder with AAP volunteers during the Delhi Assembly elections and openly agitated against the then government over various issues that arose before the elections.
He said that the AAP is familiar with all the small and big problems faced by auto drivers and will soon take neccessary steps to eliminate them. He said that because of the autocracy of the auto mafia, it is has become difficult for the auto drivers to provide for their families. Soon, the AAP government will be taking steps to remove corruption from this area as well.
