MLA files bail plea

BANGALORE: Yelahanka MLA SR Vishwanath (BJP) filed an anticipatory bail petition before the Lokayukta Special Court on Tuesday in connection with a  disproportionate assets case.As the Lokayukta police are directed by the court to file the investigation report of the case on January 6, the MLA has filed the anticipatory bail plea fearing arrest. In the petition, he has pleaded innocence and claimed that the allegations against him were all politically motivated.Vishwanath, a former HAL employee, and his wife were accused of possessing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income and the Lokayukta police had carried out a raid on his residence recently.
