While Sharif will be going to Washington, Modi is yet to announce his plans.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi may visit Washington in March for Nuclear Security Summit, said sources on Monday. It will be his first foreign visit in 2016.
The Summit will be attended by Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and would also provide an opportunity for the leaders to talk.
The Summit will be held in the last week of March.
The sources said that Modi is likely to scale down his foreign visits this year. He will visit only absolutely necessary destinations and the focus will be on domestic agenda.
The talks between the Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan were cancelled in January following the terror attack at Pathankot Air Force base.
