Mumbai: Six people died in Mumbai on Friday morning after a fire broke out in a slum area near Mahim. Eight others who received serious injuries are recovering in hospital.

Seven fire engines and eight tankers managed to control the blaze after four hours. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
