The diver kept on driving the bus after hitting the old man.
The deceased identified as Ratnakar Dixit was headed from Chhota Tajbagh to Tukdoji Chowk when he was hit by the bus and later succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile, in another hit-and-run case, a 23-year-old man was killed after an unidentified vehicle knocked him down in Nagpur city.
The accident took place at around 11.20 pm on Sunday on Katol Road bypass. There was no CCTV near the accident spot, reported PTI.
The deceased was identified as Rahul Khairwar, a native of Madhya Pradesh, the official said. A case has been registered against an unidentified person and a probe has been launched into the matter.
