New Delhi: The terrorists who attacked the Nagrota Army base in Jammu and Kashmir were part of a larger group of 20 to 30 terrorists who crossed over to India between November 12 and 18, sources told CNN News18.
The terrorists infiltrated in small teams and an operation is underway to hunt them down in in Kathua, Jammu and Pathankot regions, sources said.
The terrorists reportedly have access to police and Army uniforms and are planning to target family members of Army personnel.
Sources also said the Nagrota base attackers were on a suicide mission.
Seven soldiers, including two officers, were killed in a dawn attack on Nagrota Army base on November 29. Three terrorists were also killed in the encounter.
