Islamabad: Pakistan government on Friday night said that opposition leader Nawaz Sharif and some other politicians were also under threat following the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
"There are other people who are under threat and whenever we receive information we pass it on to the concerned people," Interior ministry spokesman Brigadier Javed Iqbal Cheema told a news conference.
Asked to give examples, he named Sharif as well as Islamist leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman and former ministers Sheikh Rashid and Aftab Sherpao.
