Nehru Trophy to be a 3-day event

ALAPPUZHA: The Nehru Trophy Boat Race Committee meeting has decided to make the annual event a three-day affair.The first day will feature women’s event and race of small boats. Canoeing, kayaking and speed boat race will be held on the second day.  The final day will see the race of chundan vallams, said Union Minister of State for Power K C Venugopal, who presided over the meeting on Sunday. Held on an experimental basis, the change in schedule is in connection with the diamond jubilee of the race
