Bangalore girl Shwetha Reddy defeated 151 contestants in CNN-IBN’s Face the Ramp contest on IBNLive.com and will now walk the ramp for designer Raghuvendra Rathore. Models from all over India logged onto ibnlive.com to participate in the contest and four contestants made it to the final round. And if you thought modelling was all about vital statistics here’s news: Rathore asked the models 10 questions and judged them on the basis of intelligence, versatility and looks. CNN-IBN correspondent Shwetal Kamalpurkar caught up with the starry-eyed Reddy while she was shooting for The Week magazine.
When did you decide to get into modelling?
I decided to get into modeling when I was 20. I had to do a college show and from then on I decided to take up modeling as a career.
Who would you like to call your role model when it comes to modelling?
Lara Dutta. I just love the way she carries herself. She is absolutely fabulous and I admire her confidence on the ramp.

What is your biggest dream when it comes to modelling?
Right now my biggest dream is to do international shows. I want to do shows in Paris and Milan. I hope my dreams come true.
Did you think that you would win the contest?
I thought the chances were 50-50 and I also applied a little late. When I got selected, I couldn’t believe my ears. It is the best thing to happen to my career and its an honour for me to walk the ramp for the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. My family is thrilled and is waiting to see me walk the ramp.
