KOCHI: The Penguin DC Book Fair-2011 will begin on Friday. The fair being organised by Penguin Books in association with DC Books will be held at 24 showrooms of DC Books across the state and will run till August 15. The fair will have a wide range of books featuring fiction, non-fiction, philosophy, art, culture, self-help, religion, history, economics, business, cookery, children’s books and popular classics. The fair, which will cover all districts in the state, will have titles from Penguin Books UK, Penguin India, Penguin USA, Dorling Kindersley (DK), Faber and Faber, Bloomsbury, Quercus, Sterling US, A and C Black, Atlantic, Hay House UK and Granta UK. There will be a major collection of children’s books from the Puffin group.There will be a special focus on best sellers of authors like Amitav Ghosh, Orhan Pamuk, Mario Vargas Llosa and Marqez. There will also be a facility to register orders for titles which are not immediately available.
