Berlin: Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski has commemorated the outbreak of World War II in a speech to the Germany parliament.
Komorowski spoke at a ceremony Wednesday marking 75 years since Germany's attack on Poland on September 1, 1939.

Komorowski called it a miracle that Europe has overcome hatred and hostility so that today young Poles and Germans are studying and working together.
Some 55 million people died in World War II, which ended in 1945.
