MYSORE: Mahesh, who was arrested by Mysore police for allegedly raping several women, had seen success in a majority of his misadventures whenever he called his prospective victims by the name Lakshmi. It was said to be a lucky name for him and women reacted positively to his advances when he addressed them by this name. He would threaten to kill the women with stones if they did not give in.The Third JMFC Court rejected the petition filed by KR police, seeking custody of the accused and adjourned the next hearing till November 17. DCP Basavaraj Malagatti, who is supervising the investigation, said that another woman came forward on Thursday to lodge a robbery case against Mahesh. He said that many of the victims are not ready to come forward and file cases against him for obvious reasons. Malagatti appealed to women to be careful about strange men.
