When they complained to her the second time, Vijaya Kumari reportedly rebuked them saying they did not arrange vehicles for her private tours.When their professor failed to protect them, the two scholars, in February 2011, complained to the then vice-chancellor Prof Prabhakara Rao and also took the matter to the media. Following public outcry, the vice-chancellor appointed a fact-finding committee comprising three members.
