Protest convention on Plaachimada Tribunal Bill

KOCHI: More than 200 organisations from across the state will join with the people of Plaachimada for a protest convention to be held at Plaachimada on October 23.The convention will be a part of the state-wide protests against the delay in passing the Plaachimada Tribunal Bill. The bill which was passed unanimously by the Kerala Assembly was sent to the President in March 2011.The bill was then sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs and then circulated to various other departments.But till date there has neither been any decision on the passage of the Bill nor has it been returned to the President, the Plaachimada Coca-Cola Virudha Samithi said in a press statement.If the bill is not passed till the 22nd of November protests will be organised across the state.
