The Durga Sena will gift pink sarees to pro-valentine activists.

Belgaum, Karnataka: It's now a battle of pink sarees versus pink chaddis.

The Durga Sena, the women's wing of Sri Ram Sena, plan to protest Valentine's Day in a novel manner.

They will gift pink sarees to pro-valentine activists to counter the Pink Chaddi campaign.

It's a retort to those who have vowed to fill bars on Valentine's Day and send cartons of pink chaddies to the Sri Ram Sena group that has branded outgoing females immoral.

They are conducting a door-to-door campaign to collect sarees, sindur and bangles.

And they will send them to Nisha Susan, who started the pink chaddi campaign, as a Valentine gift.

For the last 3 to 4 days they have been collecting sarees from locals in Belgaum and other regions.

The activists also submitted a memorandum to the local police officials requesting them to stop Valentine's Day celebrations.

What's your reaction?
