THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan has now demanded a re-investigation into the Kiliroor-Kaviyoor sex scandals to hide his embarrassment for his inaction in these cases during his five years as Chief Minister, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said here on Wednesday. Chandy told a post-Cabinet press briefing that it was Achuthanandan’s promise that the culprits would be brought to book within six months of his coming to power. Achuthanandan had also said that he would disclose the name of a VIP involved in the case. However, Achuthanandan had failed to achieve both the objectives, Chandy said.“Now he says he did not receive Shari’s father’s petition,’’ Chandy said. “He is trying to hide his embarrassment for doing nothing during his five years as Chief Minister,’’ he said.
