In a bid to develop IT Towers in Visakhapatanam, the state government directed nodal agency APIIC to acquire one acre undeveloped land allotted from Wipro Technologies after due consultations with the company.
Minister for IT&C Ponnala Lakshamaiah and minister for infrastructure & investments and ports, airports, natural gas Ganta Sreenivasa Rao, after a joint meeting here Monday, asked APIIC to either convince Wipro to make available one acre undeveloped land at its facility in Visakhapatanam to the government or coordinate with VUDA / district collector to obtain land where the proposed IT Towers can be set up.
The proposal is to create 50,000 sq ft IT office space in Madhurawada and Gambheeram and 10,000 sq ft each in tier II locations like Kakinada and Tirupati.
