SABARIMALA: The Travancore Devaswom Board would give free food to pilgrims (24 hours) during the peak days of Makaravilakku season in January. Travancore Devaswom Board president M Rajagopalan Nair said that the devaswom free food facilities at Malikappuram would offer food to the pilgrims during the peak Makaravilakku season to prevent exploitation of the pilgrims and inadequate facilities in the nearby areas. Temple to be Closed on January 21 Rajagopalan Nair said that the hill shrine would be closed at 6 a m on January 21 after Pandalam Raja’s darsan of Lord Ayyappa.Thiruvabharanam return processionThe procession carrying Thiruvabharanam boxes would begin its journey from Sannidhanam at 7 a m on January 21. The procession would reach Pandalam on January 24 morning.
