New Delhi: After the much-touted Ash-Abhishek link-up, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is hitting the headlines for tying the knot for a third time.
A prominent Hindi news channel on Thursday reported that Sanjay had married a small-time Bollywood actress called Manyata in November 19, 2006. Manyata hails from Dubai and she has been around in the industry for sometime now.
Sanjay Dutt was spotted hand-in-hand with Manyata, also known as Dilnawaz Shaikh, at the Screen Awards in Mumbai last week. Manyata is working in her family’s textile business and had done an item number in the Prakash Jha film Gangajal.
While some say Manyata is his new wife, others claim that the two have been seeing each other even since Sanjay broke up with Nadia Durrani and they have not tied the knot yet.
The Dubai-bred lady in Sanju’s life apparently belongs to a conservative upper class family. The actor’s friend, director Dharam Oberoi revealed that Dutt and Manyata knew each other very well and were dating.
Sources say Dutt is very fond of Manyata ,whom he first met through a common friend, producer Nitin Manmohan. She is said to have stood by him through the trial and the verdict in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
While some say the couple already tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Dutt’s Bandra house and have been living together since November, others say marriage is definitely not on the cards right now as Dutt is awaiting his sentence and focusing on his daughter Trishala.
Dutt has denied his marriage with Manyata and as all celebs put it, said, “You (media) guys would be the first one to know if that was the case!”
