New Delhi: The DGPs and Chief Secretaries of Bihar and Chattisgarh appeared before the bench of Chief Justice of India on Thursday in New Delhi after being summoned by the Supreme Court for non compliance of its order over the figures of missing children in their respective states.
The apex court pulled up the Bihar government for not registering FIR in all the missing children cases. The court agreed to the state's counsel who sought time from the bench. The state government has been directed to submit a new affidavit with compliance of the court's order by next Thursday.
The court also pulled up the Chattisgarh government for furnishing different figures of missing children in Rajya Sabha and the court. The bench directed state government to clarify the figures and come with new affidavit before the next hearing on November 13.
