In a potential security breach, an unidentified individual attempted to approach Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on the stage during a Democracy Day event in Bengaluru on Sunday, September 15.
The police personnel, swiftly responding to the situation, stopped the person just inches from the Chief Minister, bringing the situation under control. Despite the incident, the event continued without any further disturbance.

The reports claimed that the person, identified as Mahadev Nayak, approached the Chief Minister in a bid to garland him a shawl. The man, however, has been detained for breaching security protocols.
Responding to the incident, a police official said, “A person named Mahadev Nayak has been taken into custody after he tried to garland a shawl to CM Siddaramaiah. He had a legitimate past and proper identity. But since he tried to garland CM. This was a breach. He has been detained as per procedures.”
