Mumbai: In major revelation in the sensational Sheena Bora murder case, Indrani Mukerjea's daughter Vidhie told the Central Bureau of Investigation that her mother was divorcing Peter.
"My mother never liked Rahul Mukerjea. When I asked if Sheena was her daughter, she scolded me. Indrani blamed Rahul for creating suspicion," Vidhie told CBI. "Indrani said she was divorcing Peter."
Vidhie added that she got an e-mail on August 28,2012 supposedly from Sheena and she received another fake email on January 27, 2013.
Vidhie is Indrani and Sanjeev Khanna's daughter. When Vidhie asked her father whether he is involved in Sheena's murder, he laughed it off.
Earlier, CNN-IBN exclusively accessed Rahul Mukerjea reportedly e-mail to his father Peter and step-mother Indrani that he wrote after he got suspicious that Sheena had stopped her activity on Facebook. Rahul's e-mail had stated he had a feeling that Sheena was missing and feared some trouble.
The e-mail has helped the Central Bureau of Investigation to nail Peter Mukerjea in Sheena Bora murder.
Peter will be produced in the CBI court and the agency is likely to seek an extension of his custody for further questioning. Peter was arrested on November 20 on charges of murder, abduction and criminal conspiracy and has been in CBI custody since.
Though Sheena, the daughter of high-profile media professional Indrani Mukerjea, was allegedly murdered in 2012 and her body disposed of in Raigad district, the crime came to light only recently.
