Shocking video of Angelina Jolie from 'dark' heroin addiction days resurfaces; the actress to sue a tabloid
As reports suggest, the footage was shot in 1999 and originally leaked to the National Enquirer.

If reports are anything to go by Angelina Jolie has taken legal action against The Daily Mail for publishing a video which was taken about 15 years back. The man who shot the footage, a former drug dealer named Franklin Meyer, alleges Jolie was one of his clients and the video was taken with her consent.

As The Daily Mail suggests, the footage, reportedly shot in 1999 and originally leaked to the National Enquirer, presents a chat between the actress and Jon Voight, her father.

The video shows Jolie looking extremely thin, sporting messy, dyed blonde hair, and pacing up and down in an untidy room covered in soda cans and piles of clothes, and talking on the phone. They were reportedly discussing her brother James and later mother Marcheline Bertrand. The 16-minute clip is believed to have been shot at the Ansonia Hotel building in New York City.

Jolie has been open about her past battles with drugs before she turned her life around and became a Hollywood superstar.

As The Times of London has reported, Jolie has "started legal action" against the newspaper and believes publishing the video was a breach of her privacy.
