Jharkhand unit President of Samajwadi Party (SP), Manohar Yadav, on Friday, claimed that his party would perform impressively in Jharkhand, where it has been contesting seven of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the ensuing parliamentary election.
"We have put up clean candidates, including D G Raja in Jamshedpur and are contesting the election on issues such as displacement, umemployment, price rise and corruption," Yadav, who was in the steel city to review the party s preparation for the ensuing poll, told newsmen.
Yadav appealed people to vote for honest, immaculate and hard-working candidates.
Referring to the party candidate from Jamshedpur, Yadav said SP has fielded Raja, who is an honest and hard-working person from Jamshedpur and it was now the turn of the people of the Jamshedpur constituency to vote for him.
About party's poll prospect in Jharkhand, Yadav said that SP has put up its candidates in seven parliamentary constituencies Chatra, Palamau, Koderma, Khunti, Giridih, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur and performed well.
