CHENNAI: A special drive for the ongoing summary revision of electoral rolls will be held on November 6. The qualifying date for the current summary revision is January 1, 2012 and draft rolls were published on October 24. The rolls have also been hosted in the website: http://elections.tn.gov.in. The final rolls will be published on January 5, 2012.The claims and objections can be made till November 8. For inclusion of names, application in Form-6 is to be given. For deletion of names, application in Form-7 is to be given. For making corrections in respect of name, relationship, age, photo, etc, application is to be given in Form-8 and for transposition of names from one part to another, application is to be given in Form-8A. Throughout the day on Nov 6 (from 10 am to 5 pm) the public can submit applications in these designated locations. For inclusion of names along with Form-6, passport size colour photograph and copies of Family Card/Driving Licence/Bank Pass Book/Passport/Phone Bill/EB card, can be given.Those less than 25 years will have to furnish age proof. For corrections to be made, copies of the above documents should be given along with Form-8. Those who attain 18 years on Jan 1,2012, may enclose a copy of the Birth Certificate/School Leaving Certificate along with Form-6 for name inclusion. Transgenders are also eligible for enrolment and they will be registered under a separate category, ‘Others’.
