Speeding car crashes into DRDO compound

BANGALORE: A 20-year-old youth, Ayush Chethan, who lost control over his vehicle, rammed into Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)’s compound on Raj Bhavan Road on Sunday.Chethan, a first-year student of BBM course in Delhi, has been admitted to a private hospital.According to the police, Ayush along with another person were in Land Cruiser Prado (KA-03-MD-3627) on Rajbhavan Road at around 7 am. He was driving in a rash and negligent manner and was coming from Hotel Capitol towards Rajbhavan. As he tried to take a right turn in front of Rajbhavan, he lost control over the vehicle and rammed into the DRDO compound, the police said.“The vehicle was moving in a such a speed that it toppled thrice before ramming to the compound, which was damaged in the incident. Ayush sustained severe injuries while the other person in the vehicle escaped with minor injuries. They were rushed to a nearby private hospital,” the police added.A case has been registered in Cubbon Park traffic police station in this connection.
