Chandigarh: In a shocking incident of road rage, a video footage shows a traffic constable being hit and dragged on the bonnet of a car for as long as 1 km in Chandigarh city.
The video shot from another car shows a man hitting the traffic constable after he was asked to stop as he was speaking on his mobile phone.
The incident took place on August 10 and the driver of the car Aftab Singh Gill, a resident of Mogha has been arrested.
Police chased the accused and arrested him. The constable was rushed to the government multi-specialty hospital in Sector 16.
Chandigarh IG RP Upadhyay expressed his shock, adding that the accused have been booked under attempt to murder. "This is a shocking incident all together. Both the people have arrested in the case. They were not under the influence of alcohol. We request court to bring this matter in fast track. They are booked under attempt to murder," he said.
