CHENNAI: The SRM University has cancelled the entrance examination for BTech courses conducted on Sunday for entire Andhra Pradesh following a question paper leak. Vice-Chancellor of SRM M Ponnavaikko told Express that the university was now in close contact with AP police who have arrested two persons in connection with the leak. A decision on whether to cancel the examination for the entire country would be made if instances of question paper leak in other states come to notice, he added. Meanwhile, the Madhapur police in Andhra Pradesh said they have arrested K Praneeth, a former student of the university, after parents of some students found him selling the answer key for the examination for Rs 60,000. Praneeth passed out of the university in 2011.Registrar N Sethuraman said that about 30,000 students appeared for the examination in over 60 centres in Andhra Pradesh.
