HYDERABAD: The Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) has identified three lakh children in the age group of 6-14 in the state who were out of school with a household survey conducted by it in December last, according to (SSA) officials.The SSA plans to take up a special campaign to send these three lakh out-of-school children to attend classes appropriate to their age in this academic year.These children would be provided education through the following interventions during this academic year.About 99,000 children would be admitted to madarsas, 13,539 into regular schools, 16,871 into Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas' (KGBV), 38,959 into regular schools during the education fortnight through direct enrolment.Of the above three lakh, 24,347 children come under Children with Special Needs (CwSN) whom the SSA  proposed to admit into Residential Special Training Centres (RSTC).The SSA has also identified nearly three lakh children in the age group of 6 to 14 out of school at the beginning of last academic year also. The officials informed that they had successfully enrolled about 2.8 lakh children into various modes of schools throughout the academic year.
