KOCHI: Bringing to an end the six-year-long SSLC question paper leak case, the Ernakulam CBI Special Court on Friday awarded two three-year imprisonment and Rs 30,000 fine to the accused sisters in the case.Delivering the sentence, Special Judge S Vijayakumar said the sentences shall run concurrently.The two sisters - Bindhu Vi jayan of Vanchiyoor, Thiruvananthapuram, and Sindhu Surendran of T Nagar, Chennai - were charged under Sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 381 (theft by servant of property in possession of master) and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC.For offences under Sections 120B and 381 of the IPC, the duo have to undergo simple imprisonment for three years each and pay a fine of `10000 each.For the offence under Section 411, the sisters have to pay `10,000 each.“Every crime is a social evil.The crime in this case is that the accused conspired with K Suresh, the approver in the case.The conspiracy was meant to get the question papers well in advance before the examination.
