Status quo on playground

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has ordered maintenance of status quo as of today, on the proposal to convert the Arignar Anna playground on MC Road, Old Washermanpet, into a shopping complex or for any otherpurpose.The first bench comprising Chief Justice M Y Eqbal and Justice T S Sivagnanam granted the injunction while passing interim orders on a public interest writ petition from R Lakshmikanth of Old Washermanpet, on Thursday.
