VISAKHAPATNAM: Members of Samaikhyandhra Student JAC, leaders and activists of Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress Party slammed Vijayawada MP, Lagadapati Rajagopal’s for stating that there is no need for United Andhra agitations as the union government has not yet decided to bifurcate the State.Members staged protest in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue near Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) demanding withdrawal of Rajagopal’s statement.Talking to media, Convener of Samaikhyandhra Student JAC, Adari Kishore Kumar said all leaders and activists of Student JAC in Seemandhra region extended support to Lagadapati when he had started agitation against bifurcation of the State in 2009. Kumar said Lagadapati wants to emerge as the only leader from the Seemandhra region fighting against bifurcation of the State.Meanwhile, leaders and activists of TDP and YSR Congress Party said the centre has not yet announced that Andhra Pradesh would be united despite strong protests from Seemandhra region.People in Seemandhra have lost faith in Lagadapati after he made the statement dissuading students and other political leaders who have been staging protests against the bifurcation of the State, he said.To counter Sakala Janula Samme in Telangana region, leaders of various Joint Action Committees (JACs) and political parties will launch an agitation from Tuesday to keep Andhra Pradesh united, said Kumar
