TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will spend Rs 4 crore for giving an aesthetic and traditional look to Swami Pushkarini, the temple tank of Lord Venkateswara.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, TTD Board chairman K Bapiraju said the TTD engineering wing has already improved the Pushkarini by providing recycling filter and added that brass railings will be put up to give it a traditional look.Bapiraju, who inspected various places in Tirumala on Wednesday for fivelong hours said the TTD was committed to provide better services to the visiting pilgrims.

The chairman, who inspected laddu potu, Annaprasadam, Srivari temple, Srivari Pushkarini, laddu sale counter, Annaprasadam complex and tonsuring centre, said there will not be any hike in the laddu price. Every effort will be made to improve its quality, he added. He said the TTD will be procuring five more boondi mixing machines for preparing more qualitative prasadam.

Tirumala JEO KS SrInivasa Raju, CVSO Singh, CE Chandrasekhar Reddy, SE Ramesh Reddy and others accompanied him.
