PUDUCHERRY: Finally it is all over for Puducherry education minister PML Kalyanasundaram, accused of using a proxy to write his SSLC examination in Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister N Rangasamy recommended his removal from his council of ministers to Lieutenant Governor Iqbal Singh on Saturday.The CM’s letter was faxed to Singh, who is in his native Jalandhar. The LG forwarded the letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs, from where it would go to the Prime Minister and the President for approval. The action comes a month after the Tamil Nadu police registered a criminal case against Kalyanasundaram, who also holds Transport portfolio, on charges of using a proxy to write his Class X supplementary examination at a private school in Tindivanam on September 29. Criminal cases have been registered against him under eight sections of IPC. The minister had gone missing after registration of case.
