HYDERABAD: Telangana Coordination Committee (TCC)  has appealed to all the people’s representatives from Telangana region, who have not yet resigned, to do it immediately since all of them had promised to work for Telangana cause while fighting elections in 2004 and 2009.In a statement here on Tuesday, TCC chairman Dr A Gopal Kishan said it was unfortunate that some MPs, MLAs and ministers were still clinging to their positions though a majority of their colleagues had resigned. If they do not resign, TCC would organise peaceful protests and demonstrations to force them to bow to the will of the people. Gopal Kishan said TCC welcomed resignations of the people’s representatives and hoped that the spate of resignations would open the eyes of the Centre and pave way for formation of Telangana state. TCC advisor and MLC Chukka Ramaiah, who is abroad, would also put in his papers as soon as he returns to India.Earlier in the day,  speaking to mediapersons, chairman of the 1969 Telangana Movement Founders Forum (1969 TMFF)  KM Arifuddin said it was a dangerous sign to note that the people’s representatives who have resigned still continuing in their respective parties.Dr K Chiranjeevi, co-chairman of  1969 TMFF,  said Union home minister P Chidambaram failed to keep up his word of December 9, 2009. Most of the political leaders resigned under pressure but not out of  interest. People should continue to bring pressure on the state and central governments for  separate state, he said.
