Veteran Malayalam film actor Thilakan was admitted to the Jubilee Mission Hospital here on Tuesday after his health condition worsened.
According to hospital officials, the 77-year-old actor was suffering from pneumonia, in addition to kidney ailment and stroke. He was brought to the hospital around 4.30 pm from a private hospital in Ottapalam, where he had been undergoing treatment for the past few days. “He has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. The patient remains conscious and oriented” hospital spokesperson said. A team of doctors, led by Dr Gilvas, Head of the Neurology Department, is constantly monitoring the actor’s health condition. His condition is stable and there are no complications, the doctors attending to him said.
