New Delhi: Several actors have their wax models, but superstar Shah Rukh Khan has acquired a life-size 3D printed model of himself in his signature pose.

As a special gift to Shah Rukh Khan, Redchillies.VFX and Autodesk India came together to make the world's first life-size 3D printed model in his signature pose. The model, which is a gift, has made its way into the office of the actor's Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd.

"It's the first 3D printed life-size model done by Redchillies.VFX and Autodesk team. It is overwhelming how technology has gone forward. I am grateful to be a part of this amazing technology. This is outstanding and I am dying to show it to my kids. Its silver and shiny statue of mine in my classic pose. I want to thank Keitan, Harry, Red Chillies VFX team and Autodesk team who have worked on it. It's the figure of work I have done for all these years," says SRK.

The superstar, who has won epithets like 'King Khan', 'Baadshah' and 'King of Romance' thanks to films like "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", "Veer-Zaara" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...", took to social networking site Facebook to share his gratitude and laud the intricacies in the model.

"Even the folds in the shirt and trousers are captured in such detail... and if I may add the dimples too. Excited about this technology so I will over load you all with more images. 1st ever in the world!! Made in India!

"How fantastic is my Team Red Chillies.VFX. Fully made in India the first 3D lifesize printout. My best B'Day present," read a post on his official Facebook page.

The actor, who had a bumper release in 2014 with "Happy New Year", also feels that the model sums up his entire journey in the film industry.

"I am grateful to be a part of this amazing technology. This is outstanding and I am dying to show it to my kids. It's silver and shiny statue of mine in my classic pose. It's the figure of work I have done for all these years," he said in a statement.

The life-size model has been designed in India.
